Modules Delivered by American Public University System (APUS)
To determine which of the above courses is correct for you please follow these guidelines:
If you have a BA degree, please enroll for the RED courses.
If you do not have a BA, please enroll for the BLUE courses.
Equal credit toward the P.Log. designation is awarded regardless of the pathway you take.
APUS will require proof of your BA degree should you choose the RED courses. Taking the RED courses will allow you to apply credits towards a Masters degree with APUS and that is why only candidates with a BA degree are eligible for these graduate level courses.
International Logistics Management (APUS) - TLMT 342
This course addresses the design and operation of international logistics systems. Topics include export-import issues, multi-national sourcing and distribution strategies, channel management, and comparative transportation systems and policies.
Global Logistics Management (APUS) - TLMT 611
This course provides an understanding of leading-edge logistics management, as well as principles and techniques available to achieve optimum operational efficiencies. Topics include: development of logistics, logistical economic significance, the importance of logistics management in transportation operations, application of supply chain management concepts, role of information systems, elements and management of global logistics, distinctions and characteristics of international versus domestic logistics, global transportation options, traffic management, global transportation decision-making, management of inventory costs, measurement and control of integrated logistics systems, and development of effective world-wide logistics strategies.

Leadership & Motivation (APUS) - MGMT 312
This course is designed to provide students with a solid foundation about leaders, the leadership process and motivation. Topics include the theories of leadership and motivation, leadership power, leader behavior, leadership characteristics, the role of gender, substitutes for leadership, and dysfunctional leadership. MGMT312 serves as a self-assessment of the student's own leadership and motivation skills, knowledge, and attitudes and addresses the questions: Who am I as a leader? What are my most distinguishing leadership traits? What leadership style am I most comfortable being around? How do I influence others? And How do I motivate others?
Leadership (APUS) - MGMT 605
This course covers the elements of contemporary leadership and delineates the principles that are important in the development of a leader for the 21st century. Discussion of the role and function of leadership will include an in-depth analysis and study of needs impacting individuals, organizations and society. The course provides students with a set of leadership skills and competencies on which to build an individual model for effective leadership that can be tested over time.

Management Ethics (APUS) - MGMT 314
This course is a study of the moral and ethical responsibilities of managers in the conduct of daily activity inside and outside of the business enterprise. The morality of profit-making, fair and equal treatment of employees, and the responsibility of the business firm to the society in which it exists are analyzed and discussed. Equally stressed will be the idea of the individual's responsibility within the organization.
Ethics & Leadership (APUS) - MGMT 618
This course addresses the ethical dimensions of management with a special focus on the processes managers may use to raise and resolve ethical dilemmas and conflicts in organizational settings. Policies pertaining to treatment of those raising ethical issues will be considered. The legal and regulatory requirements of ethical conduct will be examined. Policies and codes of conduct established by various organizations and industry groups will be critically examined. The course will feature case studies involving alleged breaches of ethical conduct among publicly held corporations.

Team Dynamics (Logistics Institute)
Develop the practical skills needed when dealing with team dynamics and communications. The PC-based module is comprised of two phases. Phase 1, uses a Virtual Learning Environment that engages participants in a two-dimensional world of video, graphics, and experiential exercises using CD-ROM. In phase 2, participants work online as a virtual team, allowing you to put your new skills into practice and giving you the opportunity to discuss your views with other team members. Upon completion, you will have developed the skills necessary to define a team, enhance trust and interpersonal relationships, and make evaluations and team-based decisions.
This web-based module provides you with the skills necessary to promote customer value creation by optimizing each link in the supply chain. Working at your own pace, at the times most convenient to you, you will develop operational management and micro-forecasting skills. This module includes theory, a case study, quizzes with individual feedback, and a final examination.
Logistics Process Diagnostics (Logistics Institute)
Gain insight into how to better manage the supply chain. By the end of this web-based module you will better appreciate the differences between "supply chain" and "logistics". You will also learn the practical skills of benchmarking, costing, and network design, and fully realize the importance of collaboration in a supply chain. An orientation component will help you gain confidence in your web skills, while building teams. You will then become involved in the core of the module, an interactive Supply Chain Simulation. The de-briefing phase will allow you to consolidate and analyze your learning experiences with team members.

Q Module (Logistics Institute)
The Q Module is a comprehensive module focused on integrated logistics processes and supply chain strategies. This online module addresses the major aspects of modern supply chain management. You will learn a variety of business strategies that will improve customer service and reduce costs and inventory levels. The Q Module is completed after all other modules in this program have been successfully completed.
